Lord Ashley, for Tauranga and Auckland, shis evening Luna, for the North, this evening The schooner Banshee, Capt. Eckloff. from Russell (Bay of Island; 8 ), arrived in the roadstead this morning. She has a cargo of coals, consigned to Messrs. Watt Brothers. The Circular Saw Company's s.s. Lord Ash ley, Captain Andrews, from Wellington and Southern Ports, dropped anchor in the roadBtead shortly after 2 o'clock this afternoon. She left Port Chalmers at 4 p.m. on Wednesday, 16th mat., and arrived at Timaru a f d.tylight on Thursday ; took in 500 sacks wheat, pnd left for Lyttelton at 4-30 p.m.; arrivod at. Lytteltou at 9 a.m. on Friday ; loaded up with grain a:;d potatoes, and left Ly'telton at 8.30 p.m. on Saturday ; arrived at Wellington at 7 p.m. on Sunday ; left Wellington at 1 p.m. yesterday, and arrived here as above. Experienced strong K.W. winds throughout the passage. We are indebted to Capt. Andrews for the above report and for files of Southern journals. The ketch Excelsior took her departure this afternoon for Picton, in ballast. The s.s. Rangatira, from Napier via the coast, arrived at Wellington at 9 o'clock this morning.
