The Bishop of Waiapu, we believe, proceeds to Poverty Bay in the Muriwai to-night. A parade of the Napier Bine Volunteers takes place this evening at 6 o'clock.
The Rechabite Soiree takes place to-morrow night. The programme, which consists principally of readings and music, appears in another column. The Glassblowers give their farewell entertainment in Napier this evening, when every visitor will be presented with a beautiful specimen of glasswork. We hope to ree a full house. In the Resident Magistrate's Court yesterday, in the case ot Hogg v. Focett, judgment was given for plaintiff, for .£1 and costs Ida. The only case today was a charge of assault brought by Daniel Woods against Stephen South. Defendant not appearing, a warrant was ordered" to issue for his apprehension.
The Court of Petty Sessions, we learn, sits at Meanee to-morrow. The weather during yesterday and to-day baa been very fine, but excessively sr.ltry. A sale of impounded stock (unless redeemed) takes place at Meanee at noon to-morrow.
