The weather to-day has been very fine, with a light wind prevailing. The Glassblowers gave another very successful entertainment in the Oddfellows' Hall last night. Another formance will be gisen this evening at the usual hour. Independent Order of Rechabites. —The regular fortnightly meeting of the "Hope of Napier Tent" was held last evening, when six new members were added to the order. It i*s, we believe, the intention of this society to give a soiree at an early date. In the Resident Magistrate's Court yesterday afternoon, JohnPu reel I, who was charged with having assaulted Mr Inspector Scully, was brought up and fined £2. The only case this morning was a charge of drunkenness, for which the usual fine was inflicted.
