ILLS OF LADING on sale at the office of this paper A shipping agency and insurance broking firm in London desires the Argus to call the attention of shippers of wool to a circumstance affecting their interests. A difficulty arises, in reference to nearly every cargo of wool that arrives, of deciding the ownership of some of the bales. They had probably been well marked before shipment, but, getting wet on the way, the .marks become entirely obliterated. "Now it so happens," remark its correspondents, " that if shippers would adopt a very simple plan, all difficulty in the matter would he avoided. As a rule, the bales are marked on one side, and if any part of a bate be liable to friction when in the vessel it is the side. If shippers would place the marks on both ends, the marks would be as perfect when the bales are landed as when they are shipped, even if tb.o bates, should get on the w;ay,"
