Tenders—to be sent in to Mr E. H. Bold not later than the 16tU instant—are invited for the erection of telegraph stations at Taupo and Rotorua. Inquest.—An inquest was held at Taraweraon Monday last, llthinst., before Murray Gibber, M.D., Coroner, on the body of Constable Lotfc M'Namara, who died suddenly on the Bth inst. The verdict was in accordance with the n:edical evidence—that the deceased died from disease of the heart. Water Supply.—A meeting to consider this subject was held in the Council Chamber on Tuesday evening last. It was decided to form a company, to be called the " Napier "Water Supply Company," with a capital of £I,OOO, in 200 shares of £5 each, and power to increase. A committee, consisting of Messrs. Tiffen, Sealy, and Kennedy, was appointed to consider the subject, and report to a meeting to be held in a fortnight.
