The Evening Post says:—A few days ago the Government, by a magic paragraph in the Gfazette, transformed a distinguished limb of the law and veteran politician into a "Minister of Justice." The idea was a happy one; the title borrowed from the French, sounds imposing, and tends to add dignity to the Ministiy, but the Premier, who ha 3 a careful eye to the fitness of things, saw at once that there was no office or room in the rickety Government Buildings large enough or stately enough to accommodate such a high functionary as a "Minister of Justice,' and accordingly determined to construct a •'Temple of Justice," suitable for the purpose. When spending money is determined on by the powers that rule the roast at present, no long time is allowed to elapse. The architect got his orders, and the temple was quickly shaped on paper, and will Oe as quickly reared in wood at the back of the Grovernment Buildings, on a site directly over the old disused pump. Truth, as we are told, lies at the bottom of a well, Justice possibly lies at the bottom of a pump well, and thus in the new temple the Minister will be able to pump it at leisure. Tlie change from " .Solicitor Gfenerai" to "Minister of Justice" is deemed such a decided hit, that the idea is to be extended:. Mr iVl'Leau will be designated Minister of tiie interior; Mr VogeJ, Minister of Finance; and Mr Gfisborne, Minister of Ail Work.
His Honor the Superintendent left for Wellington in the p.s.Luna on Tuesday last, and arrived there
