We regret to state that a painful accident happened to Mr James Topping yesterday afternoon. From what we can gather, he was crossing the Meanee Bridge on horseback, and had nearly got over when the horse suddenly shied at something, the result being that one of Mr Topping's legs came in violent contact with the top rail of the bridge, causing, it is said, compound fracture of the limb. He was immediately conveyed to his own house in a cart, and a medical gentleman sent for. We have to acknowledge the receipt of the following Parliamentary Papers, viz. ; —l.
