Every attempt was made to get her off, but without avail, and she lay at the latest, date on the south bank of the river, the tide rising and falling in the engine-roprii and after-cabin. The vessel being built in compartments, there was no water iu any other part. An official inquiry wns begun on the 16th inst., and adjourned to the 17th.
