Tuesday, May 10, 11.38 a.m. Walter Thicker, in Wellington Jail, undergoing life sentence for the murder of Mr Rayner, at Rangitikei, on the night of the 27th August, 1863, has been granted a free pardon", and will be liberated to-morrow (Wednesday )
