By proclamation in the New Zealand Gazette we observe that the General Assembly is to meet for the despatch of business, at Wellington, pn Tuesday, June 14. The Annual Licensing Meeting took place in the Resident Magistrate's Court-house on Tuesday last, April 19, —J. Anderson, Esq., J.P., H, S. Tiffen, Esq., J.P., E. Catchpool, Esq., J.P., and J'. A. Smith, Esq., J.P., being on the Bench. All the old licenses were renewed, bnt no new applications were made. The license for the Napier Hotel was granted to a new landlord, Mr J. The title of the "Duke of "fijsnbiirgh Hotel," Taradale, has fyum changed to the "Taradale
