Fail-child, left at midnight on Thursday for Wairoa, and arrived at 0 a.m. ,ou Friday, conveying Mr Ormond, who landed and visited the natives. Left Waiioa at 8 p.m. with Mr Ormond, and arrived in Napier at 1 a.m. on Saturday. The Sturt steamed for Wellington at 5 o'clock the same evening. The line ketch Wild Duck, Captain Martiu, left Auckland on Saturday, 19th February, with light W. breeze, which continued until the morning of the 21st, when a strong breeze from the S.E. sprung up, in consequence of which put into the Great Barrier, where she remained 5 days. Left again on Sunday, 27th Feb., with thick easterly weather. Put into Mercury harbor on the Ist March; left again on the 2nd March with light N.W. winds, till rouuding the East Cape at 6 p.m. on the 3rd, from thence to Napier light W. yiud. Rounded Portland Island at 1 a.m. on the sth, and arrived in. Napier at 4 p.m. same day. The Wild Duck, as will be seen by advertisement, leaves for Poverty Bay in a few days. The N.Z.S.N. Co.'s s.s. Raugatira, Captain F. Renner, arrived in port at 6 p.m. last evening, from Wellington, having left that port at 3.30 p.m. on Saturday, experienced N.W. wind and heavy sea all the wa). The Rangatira brought up 600 cots wold sheep for Mr Hunter's station. The ship Chile, Captain Culbert, left Napier at 9 a.m. on Thursday lasr, with a full cargo of wool, flax, tallow, &c, as stated in our last issue. We wish her a prosperous run home. The schooner Three Brothers, 11. Ross, master, left for Wairoa last night with a full general purgo and several passengers. TELEGRAPHIC. The barque Alphington arrived at Nelson early on Friday morning from L'ludoii after a good pussage of 90 days. The s.s. Rangatira arrived at Wellington at 2.30 a.m. ou Friday from Napier, and left again at 3.33 p.m. next day for Napjer. The s.s. Keen, Captaim Bain, arrived at Lyttelton at 4> a.m. on the 3rd iuht., from Napier and Auckland. The ship Timaru left Port Chalmers at 1.30 p.m. ou the 2nd, for London. The slip Christian M'Ausland left Port Chalmers for London at 4> p.m. ou the 3rd March. H.M.'s s.s. Challenger, from Tauranga, arrived at Wellington at 2.30 a.m. on Saturday. The powerful s.s.
