ARRIVAL oF THE S.S. LORD ASHLEY, WITH ENGLISH NEWS TO 13th JANUARY.
The Circular Saw Steam Navigation Co.'s fine a.s. Lord Ashley, Captain Wheeler, bringing the English telegrams, &c., arrived in port at noon to-day; She left Auckland at 3 p.m. on the 22nd; 1 passed Cape Colville t 7.30 p.m., and rounded the Bast Cape at 2.30 p.m, on the 23rd. Experienced light westerly winds with fine weather and smooth water on the passage, arriving here as above. We have to thank Mr Pringle, the purser, for our customary files and parcels. Passengers : Major Heaphy, Mr Henderson, and 4 others; and 35 for the South, The s.s. City of Melbourne, from Sydney, arrived at Auckland on the morning of the 22nd inst.
