VESSELS IN HARBOR. Chile, ship, 768 tons, from London via Auckland Hero, schooner, from Wairoa Jennie Ellingwood, barque, from Port Chalmers Mahia, cutter, from Wairoa Mary Thompson, schooner, from Kaipara B. T. Turnbull, barque, 367 tons, Cummmg, from London Success, schooner, from Waimarama PROJECTED DEPARTURES. Foil London—Jennie Ellingwood, barque, Wednesnesday, 26th January; R. 1\ Turnbull, barque, about Ist February "Wellington— ltangatira, s.s., this day Porangahau—Success, schooner, early Waikoa—Hero, schooner, this day The s.s. Phoebe, Captain Worsp, from Wellington and Southern Ports, arrived here at 4.30 a,m. on Thursday last, bringing about 50 tons general cargo and several passengers. She steamed for Auckland at 3.1.30 a.m. next day. The women and children belonging to the detachment of the 18th Regiment lately stationed in Napier proceeded by this opportunity; also some of the men, and a quantity of baggage, &c. The ship Chile—a noble-looking vessel of some 768 tons register—under command of Captain Culbert, arrived in the roadstead about 5 p.m. on Thursday last, having left Auckland on the 15th inst. Pine weather and light variable winds were experienced. The Chile brings about 200 tons general cargo for this port from London. We believe she will load home with wool. The s.s. Star of the South, for Mahia ; and the schooner Muriwai, for Poverty Bay, took their departure on Friday last. The schooner Spray, for Havelock, sailed from port on Saturday. The schooner Hero sails for Wairoa aud Wakaki this day; also the Success, for Porangahau. The s.s. Rangatira may be hourly expected to arrive from Auckland, and will be despatched South without delay. The two barques which now grace Ahuriri roadstead will soon be taking their leave of this port, —one of them in all probability ere we again go to press. We refer to the Jennie Ellingwood, whi,ch vessel had on board on Saturday upwards of 2,000 bales of wool and flax; she will complete her loading this morning and sail for London direct on or about Wednesday next. We trust to hear of her making a rapid and prosperous voyage to the old country. The R. T. Turnbull will follow close on the heels of the Jennie Ellingwood. On Saturday her complement of wool had reached 1,150 bales, and a few days more will see her a full ship. She will sail about the Ist February. We learn that the s.s, St. JCilda is for sale. TELEGRAPHIC. The ship Wild Duck, from London, arrived at Wellington at 3 a.m. on the 22nd inst. H.M.'s s.s. Rosario, from Tauranga, arrived at Wellington on the 21st inst. The brig Derwcut, for Newcastle, left Wellington at 2 a.m. on the 22nd inst. ' H.M.'s s.s. Virago, hence, arrived at Wellington at G a.m. on the 21st inst., and left for Sydney at 11 a.m. on the 22nd inst. The Flying Squadron left Lyttelton for Wellington on Saturday last.
