Hawke's Bay Times. Nullius addictus jurare in verba magistri. THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 25, 1869.

The length of our report of Supreme Court proceedings compels us to hold over leading and other matter. We would remind the public that the English Mail will leave Napier by the s.s. Wellington during the course of this day. John Hare, Esq., has been appointed Deputy-Registrar of the Supreme Court, and Clerk to the Bench at Napier, vice James Grindell, Esq., resigned. Napier Debating Club.—lt will be seen by advertisement that the usual fortnight ly meeting of this society will take place this evening. The invitation to attend, it will be observed, is open to “ all.”

This Day and tomorrow Messrs Kentledge, Kennedy & Co. will hold an extensive sale by auction of general merchandise, at the stores of Messrs Kinross <fe Co., previous to removal into their new -warehouses. The sale will commence at 11 o’clock this morning. To-morrow, at 3 p.m., Messrs. Kentledge, Kennedy & Co. will submit to public competition 8 tons sugar from the Victoria Sugar Co.’s factory, which is described as being in “excellent condition ’ The sale vid take place at the stores of Messrs. Kinross & Co.
