Shearing has commenced on several of the stations ia this Province, and already we have to note the arrival at Port Ahuriri of several drayloads of wool. v Napier Debating Club.— The opening meeting of this society will be held in the Odd Fellows' Hall at 8 o'clock this evening, when an in augural address will be delivered by the Rev, G. Morice. All are invited to attend. Anniversary or the Province, —The usual celebration of the anniversary of the Province takes place on Monday next, the J.st November. From our advertising colurnns it will be seen that the members of the Napier Brass Band intend giving a picnic on. that day at the meadows, Taradale, Meanee.
