The Nelson Provincial Government are advertising for applications from persons willing to undertake the erection of a dry dock in the Nelson harbor. The Upper Thames correspondent of the Thames Advertiser writes as follows under date September 15 ; —" It appears to be now a foregone conclusion in the native mind that Ohinemuri is open —believing they will not have any satisfactory arrangements made until they see a goodly lot of their pakeha friends hard at work in search of the precious metal."
