Drowned at Sea.—We 1 egret to record a fatal occurrence which took place at sea on Sunday, 29rii ult. On that day, the schooner Colonist left this port for Auckland, with strong southerly wind and thick weather. "When off Portland Island, a heavy sea struck the vessel, and washed overboard a man who went by the sobriquet of "Little Billy," formerly a seaman on board the schooner Muriwai. Owing to the heavy sea running, it was found impossible to stay the vessel, and there ran be no doubt that the unfortunate man met with a wafcry grave. For the above information we are indebted to Captain Hamilton of the cutter Mahia, to whom it was communicated by Ihaka Whanga, who was a passenger to Mahia by the Colonist when the fatal occurrence happened,
