GOLD PROSPECTING.
We direct attention to an advertisement in our first page, calling a meeting this afternoon in the Council Chamber of those who desire to. see the inland poroions of this Province thoroughly and systematically prospected for the discovery of goldbearing country. "We are glad to see this movement taken up in earnest, as it appears to be at length, and we trust that ere long Hawkes Bay may be a sharer in the good; fortune of her sister provinces lAj other parts of the Colony.
