I Shipment of Gold.—The Graham's Town branch of the Bank of New Zealand shipped on Wednesday, per Duke of Edinburgh, to Auckland, 4 000 oz. of gold.— Daily Southern Cross, July 23. The trial of T. L. Ward, against whom a true bill was found for the robbery at the Telegraph Office, Blenheim, came off at Nelson on the 3rd inst., when the prisoner was acquitted. * Finding of a Skeleton. — A. few days ago a skeleton was found lying in the scrub close to the Waitotara river. A pair of military boots were on the feet, but beyond this there was nothing that might lead to the identification of the remains. To have arrived at the state in which the skeleton was found would take a period of some 12 or 15 months' exposure. It is supposed that the skeleton is that of a settler who has been misting since December, 1867.
