GREAT FIRE AT GREYMOUTH.
(BY ELECTRIC TELEGBAPHJ Wellington, 11th June. A telegram from Hokitika to the Evening Post states :—■ A destructive fire broke out .it 3 o'clock this morning in Johnston's Melbourne Hotel, Greymouth. The banks of New South Wales and Australasia and the Union Ban* were completely destroyed. " burned Flannery's Hotel andtheMelbourne Hotel, and also consul the residences of Mr Perkins, bar lister; Trast, blacksmith; Badges painter; Broadbent, jeweller; H* milton and Nicholls, merchants! Thompson, Smith, and BarkleJ. drapers; Morris Levy, ironmonger! Forsyth and Masters, ironmonger Hunter, tobacconist. It guts Clark's Masonic Hotel, the Ban! Hotel, and other buildings. Estimated damage, .£60,000.
