WAIROA.

Despatches dated 12th May hare been received from Colonel Herrick, whose camp was then 8 miles of Lake Waikarimoana. His movements had been retarded by the continued refusal of the Ngatiporou and other friendly natives to proceed to tke front, on account, as they say, of cold. The hon. Mr Richmond arrived at Wairoa on Friday last, and had succeeded in inducing them to go on. They will accordingly make a start to-day (Monday) towards Waikarimoana, under Major - Ropaia and join Col. Herriok. The latter officer's forces are in great spirits.
