WAIROA.

Ko intelligence has been received from Wairoa since Thursday last. The steamer Lyttelton, which it will be remembered left this port for Wairoa last Thursday night, has not yet returned, owing, it is presumed, to the state of the bar, which must have been impassable for seveal days past. The non-arrival, up to this time, of the mailman from Wairoa (who ought to have arrived at 11 a.m. on Monday last), has excited seme uneasiness, but the large force of Europeans and natives concentrated at Wairoa prevents our anticipating anything serious in that locality. We understand the Government have established a regular overland service to and from Wairoa, by means of which there will be a communication once in two days from each end. The first desparches were sent on Tuesday, and would reach Wairoa early yesterday. We ought to have the return despatches sometime to-day. H.M.S. Blanche arrived in the roadstead at 6 o'clock last evening, and will, we understand, communicate with Wairoa to-day should no a)-rivals take place during the course of this morning.
