TnE brigantine Mary Ami, Captain James Hamilton, left Newcastle on the 23rd of March, had S.E. winds to Cook's Straits. Hounded Cape Palliser at 6 p.m. on the 9th April; rounded the Kidnappers at 4 a.m. was becalmed there a day, and brought up in the roadstead at 10 a.m. on Tuesday. . The Mary Ann brings a cargo of coal, (200 tons), consigned to Messrs Watt Brothers. The schooner, Muriwai, Captain Jones, left Napier last Friday) with ammunition and stores for Wairoa, arrived on Saturday morning, took in some luggage and women and children, and ieft again for Napier Sunday morning, arriving in the Vot at 4 o'clock Monday evening. She sailed again for Waikari, Mohaka, and Wairoa at an early hour yesterday morning. There is a ketch coming in from the South as we go to press. The s.s. Lord Ashley, Captain Worsp, may be expected to arrive here from Auckland about Saturday uext, aud will steam for Wellington about Sunday. The cutter Grayling, Captain Schon, left Napier for Waikari on Tuesday evening. She will stay there one day and then return. The brig Maggie, Captain Arnold, left this port for Newcastle, on Tuesday last, in ballast. The schooner Coquette, Captain Matheson, left here for Dunedin on Tuesday last.
