A Hauhau Prisoner. — Paoi-a Kaiwhatu brought in a Hauhau prisoner on Monday, who had been found unarmed by Mr Hamlin on the road, and handed over to him. He admitted that he was one of Te Kooti’a party, bat gave little or no information when examined before the commanding officer. He remains a prisoner at Pa Whakairo.

We supply some additional paiticnlars : —2OO natives, supplied with provisions and ammunition by the Government, started from Wairoa on Friday last, for the purpose of attacking Te Warn at his pa near Waikarimoana.
