AUCKLAND LIVE STOCK MARKET. Messrs. Carey & Gilles's Live Stock Report for the week ending 12th March: — The advance that we noticed in our last report has been fully sustained—provincial-fatted cattle ranging from 3Ss to 40s, and imported beef from 30s to 35s per lOOlbs. Pat sheep commanded ready sale, and a large number were disposed of at the advance we quoted in our previous week's report. Dairy cows are in much request, and for first-class animals extreme prices are obtainable. Store cattle are unchanged in value. We have no advance to report in store .sheep, being still dull of sale at low rates. Pat Cattle: On Wednesday, at the Junction Yards, provincial cattle brought 38s to 435, and Australian from 30s to 35s per lOOlbs. Store Cattle : We quote as follows :—Yearlings, £3 5s to £3 17s 6d; 18-month heifers, £5 to £6 5s • bullocks, £3 to £9 per head. Pat Sheep : 453 were penned, and all sold, realising as follows:—Ex John Perm, from Napier, merino wethers, 10s 6d to lis. Ex Rangatira, Southdown cross, 14a 9d to 17s 9d. Provincial wethers, medium quality, 9s 6d to lis Gd. Store Sheep: Few in the market. Prices obtained, 6s 6d to 7s 9d per head.
