Jones, master, arrived in harbor last Tuesday night, from Wairoa via Waikari, with 12 bales wool, 20 cases apples, aud one passenger. The s.s. Wellington, Captain Ilolmes, left Auckland at 5.30 p.m. on Monday last, loth inst.; at 8 p.m. on Tuesday rounded the .East Cape, and ar rived in the roadstead at 1.30 p.m. yesterday. Experienced strong eastei-ly winds with heavy sea throughout the passage. We have to thank Mr C. D. Moss, purser, for latest flies. The Wellington steamed southwards at 6 o'clock last evening with 15 bales wool and several passengers. The s.s. Lord Ashley, Captain AVorsp, hourly expected from Auckland, is announced to steam at noon this day for Wellington, Lyttelton, .\elson, and Otago. The schooner Hero, with a general cargo for Wairoa, will probably take her departure this day. She cleared at the Customs yesterday. The barque William Cargill commenced the discharge of her inward cargo on Monday last. We learn that, when sufficiently lightened, this fine vessel will be brought inside, and moored off the Western Spit. We also hear that the William Cargill will load wool for the home market. The brigantine Prince Patrick is rapidly proceeding with the discharge of her cargo of coal, and will leave for Newcastle, N.S.W., on an early c-ay. The s.s. Star of the South may be expected to arrive from Auckland about Saturday next. The schoouer Success was advertised in the Auckland papers to leave for Napier via the East Coast on Tuesday last. The brig Maggie, Captain Arnold, hence the 2nd arrived at Newcastle on the 2ith. Wc observe that 18 other vessels arrived there the same day. The barque Alice Cameron, from Sydney, arrived at Auckland on Saturday last, after a moderate passage of 13 days. Cargo for Napier—l case seeds, Tuxford. The ship Countess of Kintore took her departure for London, from Auckland, on the 10th March, with a cargo of wool, flax, kauri gum, &c, valued ■et £20,002 0s 6d, exclusive of 14,000 ozs. of gold.
