The Stagnant Swamp.—A letter appears in another part of to-day's ibsue, to which we refer all parties concerned. We are convinced that but for the evil effects of that swamp the Spit would be the most healthy part of the town, while at present it is in danger of becoming the centre of disease. We need not add one word to what our correspondent has written, and we trust it will be effective in causing the nuisance complained of to be promptly abated.
