Militia Notices* MILITIA DISTRICT ORDERS. Militia and Volunteer Office, Napier. 20th October 1868, O. I.—The following ORDERS are As issued for the guidance of the Local i'orces in case of alarm : Captain Tanner and the men of his troop resident in Napier, Nos. 1 and 2 Companies of Militia, and Captain Buchanan’s Volunteers will repair to, and fall in, in front of the Militia Office. Ilia men residing near the lata Royal Hotel will fall in, under command of Lieut. Richardson, in front of his house. The men residing on the Spit will fall in in front of the Post Office, under command of Ensign Eoutledge. The whole will await orders and observe the strictest silence. The Commanding Officer directs every man of the Local Forces to have his arms, &c., so placed that he can equip himself in the dark at the shortest notice. By order, — E. WITHERS, 428 Capt. & Adjt. Strayed. ONE POUND EEWAED. STRAYED from the Barrack Hill, DARK BROWN MARE, unshod, star on forehead, and branded TH (conmined) on near shoulder. She has an entire foal at foot. Any person bringing the same to the office of this paper will receive the above Reward ; and any person found in possession of the above animals on and after this date will be prosecuted.
