The s.s. Wellington, with tbo English Mails via Suez and Panama on board, left Wellington at 10.S0 am. on Sunday, July "0, ami was seen to round Cape Kidnapper about S o’clock next morning; but tin) weather being thick, and a heavy sea running in the Bay, her captain doubtless deemed it advisable to proceed on the voyage northwards without calling at Napier, Tito s.s, Lord Ashley, Captain Worsp, leit Port Chalmers at 1.20 p.m. on the third Julv, and arrived at Lyttelton next morning; left Lyttelton on the -Ith at 4.J0 p in., ami arrived at Wellington at U. 20 a.m. on the 25th ; left for Napier at 1 p.m. on the 2Mth, with strong S.L. wind, in consequence of the violence of which was unable to round Cape Palliser until 10 p.m. Arrived in port at 3.3 u pm. on Monday, 27th July. The Lord Ashley steamed for Tauranga and Auckland on Tuesday last, at noon, and may be expected to return to Napier on Friday, 7lh August, steaming for Wellington and Southern Ports on the Sdi. 'the s.s. AUuriii. Captain Seymour, may bo expected to arrive iroin Wellington to-morrow, and will steam for Auckland on Saturday, Ist August. The s.s. Star of the South, Captain’ Win. Beiidall. from Auckland, may bo expected to arrive here tomorrow. The s.s. Wellington will bo duo bero from Tauranga and Auckland on Sunday next, 2nd August, and will steam southwards on the followingllay! with the otuward mails via Suez, Marseilles, and ’ Pan Hina. The S.s. r.angitira, duo yesterday from Auckland, bad not pet in an appearance up to the hour ol our going to press this morning.
