FIRE IN CHAUCER-ROAD.
DESTRUCTION OF SIX DWELLING HOUSES. A fire occurred this morning at about four o’clock in Chaucer-road, by which six houses are totally destroyed,— nothing remaining of them but the bare chimney stalks. We are unable: to gather any definite information; as to the cause of the fire, which ■ originated in a bouse occupied ly a: person known as “ Black Harry.”j Two ci the houses belonged to Air APlutyve, and wore, we believe, to have been sold by auction this day. The other four houses were the property of Airs Robinson, Alessrs Flynn, Alulherne, and Alaloney. We do not know if any of the loss is covered by insurance.
