Government Advertisements. .11^ PROCLAMATION. By his Honor Donald M‘Lean, Esquire, Superintendent of the Province of Hawke’s Bay, in the Islands of New Zealand. \ATMEREAS by an Act of the General V V Assembly, intituled “ The Hawke’s Bay Waste Laud Regulations Amendment Act, 1865,” it is enacted that all waste lands of the Crown in the said Province not heretofore proclaimed as open for selection or sale, shall, before being proclaimed as open for selection or sale, be classified as follows by the Commissioner of Crown Lands: — Class 1 shall comprise lands suitable for owmhips or for special settlement. Class 2 shall comprise lands suitable for agricultural settlement. • Class 3 shall comprise land suitable foi pastoral purposes. And whereas there are no lands within the boundaries of the land described in the Schedule hereunto annexed suitable for townships, or for special settlement, or for agi iculturalaettlements; and whereas by the said Act it is further enacted that all the lands comprised in Class 3 aforesaid shall be divided into blocks suitable for runs, and offered for lease for terms of 14 years by public auction— Now, therefore, I, the said Donald M’Lean, Superintendent of the Province of Hawke’s Bay, do hereby notify and proclaim that the land comprised in the said First Schedule, hereunto annexed, will be offered to be leased by public auction for u term of fourteen years, at the Crown Lauds Office in Napier, on THURSDAY, the twenty third day oi April next, at noon, in the lots set forth in the Second Schedule, hereunto annexed, and thattheperson who shall bid the highest for each lot shall become the lessee of tin same; and I further notify that the sunn of money set against each lot shall represent the lowest rent which will be ucceptec for each lot. Dated this twenty-first day of January in the year of our Lord One thou sand eight hundred and sixty-eight DONALD M‘LEAN, Superintendent. SCHEDULE No. 1. Desceiftion of Runs to be Leased. All that parcel of land, containing nbou 9000 acres, more or less, of the Nu’nak Block. The boundaries are as follow : Towards the north by 39 0 parallel o latitude, forming the northern boundar of the Province of Hawke’s Bay; to wards the east by’ native land, the lia puawhara Block, and by that portioi known by the name of Ihaka’s R, serve towards the south by the sea, and b; the eastern portion of the Rural Sectioi of Waihua; and towards the west b the said sections and by the Nuhak River. All that parcel of land in the Wairo District, containing by admeasuremen 5300 acres more or less. Boundaries —Towards the north by Rural Sectio of Turiroa, Nos. 9, 10, 11, and 12; east by Rural Section of Wairoa, Nos. 8, t 10, 11, and 12; south, by Rural Sectio of Potutu, from Nos. 1 to 15 inclusive and west, by Crown land and Rur, Section of Turiroa, Nos. 27. 33, an 25. * Also all that parcel of land in the dislrit aforesaid, containing by admeasurenier about 9000 acres, more or less.
