Act, 1865,” it is enacted that all wasle lauds of the Crown in the said Province not jheretofore proclaimed as open for selection or sale, shall, before being proclaimed us , open for selection or sale, be classified as , follows by the Commissioner of Crown . Lands: — Class 1 shall comprise lands suitable for I ownships or for special settlement. Class 2 shall comprise lands suitable for agricultural settlement. 8 Class 3 shall comprise land suitable for “ pastoral purposes. And whereas there are no lands within * the boundaries of the land described in the r Schedule hereunto annexed suitable for townships, or for special settlement, orfor - agricultural settlements; and whereas by the said Act it is further enacted that all the lands comprised in Class 3 aforesaid shall be divided into blocks suitable for runs, and ollered for lease for terms of 11 years by public auction— Now, therefore, I, the said Donald M‘Lean, Superintendent of the Province of Hawke’s Bay, do hereby notify and proclaim that the land comprised in the said hirst Schedule, hereunto annexed, will be ollered to be leased by public auction for a term of fourteen years, at . the Crown Lands Office in Napier, on s THURSDAY, the twenty-third day of y April next, at noon, in the lots set forth in e the Second Schedule, hereunto annexed, 3 and thattiioporson who shall bid the highest for each lot shall become the lessee of the same ; and I further notify that the sums of money set against each lot shall represent the lowest rent which will be accepted for each lot. SCHEDULE No. 1. j Description of Runs to be Leased. e All that parcel of laud, containing about n 9000 acres, more or lets, of the Nuhaka f Block. The boundaries are as follow ; Towards the north by 39 0 parallel of latitude, forming the northern boundary of the Province of Hawke’s Bay; to--0 wards the east by native land, the Kapuawliara Block, and by that portion known by the name of Ihuka’s Reserve ; 1 towards the south by the sea, and by the eastern portion of the Rural Section of Waihua ; and towards the west by the said sections and by the Nuhaka River. |All that parcel of land in the Wairoa | District, containing by admeasurement I 5300 acres more or less. Boundaries : —Towards the north by Rural Section of Turiroa, Nos. 9, 10, 11, and 12 ; east, by Rural Section of Wairoa, Nos. 8,9, 10, 11, and 12; south, by Rural Section of Potutu, from Nos. 1 to 15 inclusive ; aud west, bv Crown land and Rural I Section of Turiroa, Nos. 27, 33, aud 35. Also all that parcel of land, in the district aforesaid, containing by admeasurement; about 9000 acres, more or less. Boua- - daries: —Towards the north, by the boundary of the province, latitude 39 - 0 south ; towards the east, by Rural Sections of Turiroa, Nos. 22, 21, 26, 30, 31, ■ 31, and 36, and by Crown land ; towards , the south, by Rural Sections Nos. 17 and IS, Waihua; towards the south-west and west, by the back lino of the Rural S ct:ons of the Waihua aud the Waihua R iver, .
