A fee of sixpence is chargeable on each Crown Grant for every month during which it shall remain in this office afier the expiration of three mouths from the date of this notice. Written authorities (in the form to he obtained at this office), must bo produced in cases where the grantee does not attend personally to receive his grant.

By his Honor Donald M'Leax, Esquire, Superintc dent of the Province of Hawke’s Bay, inthe Islands of New Zealand. WHEREAS by an Act of the General » > Assembly, intituled “The Hawke’s Bay Waste Laud Regulations Amendment Act, 1865,” it is enacted that all waste lands of the Crown in the said Province not heretofore proclaimed us opm for selection or sale, shall, before being proclaimed as open for selection or sale, he classified as follows by the Commissioner of Crown Lands:
Class 1 shall comprise lands suitable for townships or for special settlement. Class 2 shall comprise lands suitable for agricultural settlement. Class 3 shall comprise land suitable for pastoral purposes. And whereas there are no lands within the boundaries of the land described in the Schedule hereunto annexed suitable for townships, or for special settlement, orfor agricultui a’settlement s; and whereas by the said Act it is further enacted that all the lands comprised in Class 3 aforesaid shall be divided into blocks suitable for runs, and offered for lease for terms of 14 years by public auction— Now, therefore, I, the said Donald JrLean, Superintendent of the Province of Hawke s Day, do hereby notify and proclaim that the land comprised in the said Hirst Schedule, hereunto annexed will bo offered to be leased by public! auction for a term of fourteen Tears at' Offico in Napiw,’on 1 THURSDAI, the twenty-third day of April next, at noon, in the lots set forth in ihe Second Schedule, hereunto annexed, ana thattheprrson who shall bid the hi~hest for each lot shall become the lessee same ; and 1 further notify tliat'the "suras of money set against each lot shall represent the lowest rent which will be accepted for each lot.
