Dr Oazekave oi St Louis Hospital, Paris, recommends it particularly in cutaneous diseases, con Diseases or the Chest. —Syrup of Hy. pophosphite of Lime, manufactured by Geimault & Co., Chemists. This new medicine, delicious to the palate, is a sovereign remedy for coughs, colds, irritation of the lungs, and is also an excellent remedy in cases of consumption. Under its iniiuence, the cough abates, nocturnal perspirations cease, and the patient rapidly recovers health and flesh. Indigestion or Dyspepsia.— Elixir of Fepsine, prepared by Qbimaukt & Co., Chemists. Pepsins is the gastric juice itself, or rather the digestive principle purified, which digests food in the stomach. When from various causes the supply of the digestive fluid is too small, the inevitable consequences are bad digestion, gastritis, gastralgia, inflammation of the mucous coats of the stomach and bowels, heartburn, ancemia, loss of strength, and in females general derangement. The Elixir of Pepsino, which is sanctioned by the approbation of the Paris Academy of Medicine, speedily cures all such diseases, and prevents vomiting during pregnancy. No moeb Poverty op the Blood, &c. —Phosphate of Iron. —Do Leras, Apothecary, Doctor of Science. —This new ferruginous medicine contains the elements of the bones and blood, and iron in a liquid state. Prom observations made in the Paris Hospitals and detailed in the prospectus, it is superior to ferruginous pills, lactate of iron, iron reduced by hydrogen, pills and syrup of the iodide of iron, and cures rapidly stomach complaints, painful digestion, poverty of the blood, loss of strength and appetite, and the diseases incident to females. It is the best adjunct to Cod-liver Oil, and the best preserver of health in tropical climates. No moee Copaiba oe Cubebs.— Capsules of Matico Vegetalis ; also Idquid Extract of Matico.— These elegant preparations effect rapid and extraordinary cures of recent and old, and severe cases of disease. They are used in all the Hospitals of Paris by the celebrated Dr Ricord, and are found greatly superior to all preparations of Copaiba, Cubebs, &c., and Mineral Remedies. The Liquid Extract is used in recent cases, and the Capsules in the more chronic; and where all other Medicines have failed, these preparations will always effect a cure. THE HOST RELIABLE FRIEND, fTS searching and healing properties are known and recognized throughout the world. The number of years this invaluable ointment has stood the test of public opinion (and the longer known the better appreciated) is a testimony of itself more convincing than anything that could be written in praise of its truly wonderful healing properties. In the cure of bad legs, bad breasts, sores, wounds, and ulcers, its effect is marvellous. For ringworm, scald-head, scrofula, and diseases of the skin generally, there is no remedy to be compared to it. When assiduously rubbed upon the skin (previously well bathed with warm water) this ointment is quickly absorbed into the system, and cleanses, in its passage, every part to which it is applied. Glandular Swellings, Bronchitis Muhps, Quinsey, Soeb Throats, and Diptheeia.—ln any of the above diseases rumediate permanent relief is obtained by effectually rubbing this detergent ointment twice a day, upon the neck, chest, and back. It acts upon the very mainsprings of life; for through the glands pass all new matter required for the body’s reparation, and all old particles detrimental to its preservation. The ointment, used conjointly with Holloway’s pills, will act so searchingly and certainly as to effect cures in the most hopeless cases. Rheumatism:, Lumbago, Contracted and Sxsff Joints.—Many thousands of martyrs from the above complaints have found life almost insupportable; yet, if Holloway’s ointment be briskly and pereeveringly rubbed upon the parts affected, ease may be safely guaranteed, especially if the pores of the skin hepreviously opened by fomentations with warm water. The gross humors require expulsion from the system; it is therefore necessary to have recourse to Holloway’s admirable pills, which, by purifying and strengthening the system, greatly assist the operation|of the ointment and facilitate and confirm the cure.
