The people of Nelson are so snra that the Duke of Edinburgh will pay a visit to the province named after England’s greatest naval hero, that they propose postponing their annual racing meeting till his arrival. The subject of a memorial to the late Mr Crosbie Ward has been warmly taken up by the inhabitants of Lyttelton, and it is suggested to erect a memorial window in Tnnity Church, Lyttelton, as a mark of resneet.
