AUCKLAND. live stuck market. .Mr Alfrel Bnckland’s report for the week ending Kith August;— At the Haymarkcf, on Saturday last, fodder was in average supply, and without alteration in value. ■ld loads sold. Horse stock ottered more numerously Lmn for some weeks ; prices ruled low, At the Triangle, on Tuesday, a lair supply of store cattle met with a ready sale, prices showing an improvement on late markets. Long-woulled ewes hroughl 2?s each. At the Renmcra Yards, on Thursday, the improved demand for store cattle was sustained, particularly for ,'onng stock. A choice dairy cow brought US; others from AD to Al2 os each. Lilt caltle were in short supply ; 52 head sold, but cist week s prices ivcre barely sustained. Several pelts of breeding owes (haU'-breds) were sold. Messrs. Hunter and Co.’s report for the week ending r liith .August : AY. Hunter and Co. have to report that at their sale on Saturday hot there Were about 40 horses entered for sale, of which about 80 were disposed of at former rates. At their Newmarket saloon Monday last a largo number of cattle were brought in. Most of the dairy cows were withdrawn in consequence of low prices. Eat cattle sold well. Store cattle sold at ’about former rates, and enquired after. Sheep sold at from 12s to Lis each, being small sheep. ( Rigs sold at advanced prices at their Otnhuhn sale.
