The cattle were of very cood quality. At Eemuera, on Thursday, a large number of dairy rows brought frxa £lO to £l3 10s each.. The entile ex Star, of the South sold in one lot previous to the. auction, at .113 each,; consequently the market was in seemingly short supply. Inn havers were full, and last week’s rates were barely susmined, Grown steers, in good condition, brought in pens from £G 17s Cd to £0 10s each. The sheep market was well supplied. Hairy fed pigs were in short supply, and tb;« description of slock brought higher rates than any other. Messrs. Tinnier anc Co.'s report for the week ending 2 Dili Ldy ; Messrs. TV. Hunter and Co. have to report that nn Saturday last there were over 60 horses brought forward, the greater number being sold at former prises. Some heavy draught horses fetched from

£o to £lo each. At the Newmarket ?■ las, on Monday, there was a large number of cattle brought forward, principally store stock. Of dairy nous there were but tew ;u of good quality or near calving, but those brought forward fetched from -ylO to £l3 each. Backward springers fetched xroin Ito ice earn. Store entile ; There vvas a large supply of stores; three-year old steers fetched about £5 10s each, not being of good quality Some yearling calves fetched about £3 each. A lot of store cows from Napier fetched from £4 10s to £5 10s each.
