Medicines. -jq- E W MED ICIK ES, THE GREATEST SUCCESS OF THB AGE. It cures diseases of the chest scrofula, lymphatic disorders, green sickness, muscular atony, and loss of appetite, it regenerates the constitution by purifying the blood, and is, in a word, the most powerful depurative known. It never fatigues the stomach and bowels like the lodide of Iron and the lodide of Potassium, and is administered witli the greatest efficacy to young children subject to humors, or obstruction of the glands. Dr Cazenave oi St Louis Hospital, Paris, recommends it particularly in cutaneous diseases, con jointly with the pills that bear his name. Diseases of the Chest.— Syrup of Rypophosphite of Lime, manufactured by Grihault A Co., Chemists. I his new medicine, delicious to the palate, is a sovereign remedy for coughs, colds, irritation of the lungs, and is also an excellent remedy in cases of consumption. Under its inllucnce, the cough abates, nocturnal perspirations cease, and the patient rapidly recovers health and flesh. Indigestion oh Dyspepsia.— Elixir of Pepsine, prepared by Gkijiaukt & Co., Chemists. Pepsine is the gastric juice itself, or rather the digestive principle punned, which digests food in the stomach Alien from various causes the supply ol i the digestive fluid is too small, the in | evitable consequences are had digestion, j gastritis, gaslraigia, inflammation of the( mucous coats of the stomach and bowels,; 1 heartburn, anosmia, loss ol' strength, and; in females general derangement. The Liquid Extract is used in recent cases, and the Capsules in the more chronic ; and where all other Medicines have failed, these preparations will always effect a 1 cure.
