In consequence o an arrangement effected with the Directors of the Panama Railroad Company, the New Zealand postage on newspaper* conveyed by that route will be reduced from threepence tu one penny each. No alteration will take place in the foreign rates, accounted for by this department to London and Panama, uu newspapers addressed to foreign countries. Corrected tables of rates will be furnished as soon as they eau be got ready ; in the meantime Postmasters will be guided by the present table, taking care that twopence is deducted from the present rates as enumerated in the table now in their possession.
