Is pursuance of the provisions of an Act of the General Aseomuly of Now Zealand, intituled “ The Provincial Elections Act, 1858, I, John Curling, lieturning Officer for the Electoral District of the Town of Napier, do hereby give notice that by virtue of a writ bearing date the 3rd day of June, 1867, issued under the hand of His Honor the Superintendent, an election will take place of one qualified person to serve as a member of the Provincial Council of the Province of Hawke’s Hav for the said Electoral District, in lieu of*Thomas Kennedy Newton, Esq., resigned; and that the nomination of candidates will take place at the .Resident -Magistrate's Court, Napier, on Thursday, the HOth dar of Jane, 1867, at noon, and that the pod (i 1 necessary) will be taken on Friday, the
