'lhe Telegraph Commissioner is prepare! 1o receive lenders for the Supply and Delivery of 2,460 Poles, more or less, for a Lue of telegraph to be constructed between Castle Point, in the Province of Wellington, and Napier, in the Province o! Hawke’s Bay. The poles to be sawn from the heart ol Totara, Matai, real Blue Gum, or Strumv Hark. ° The poles to be of thefollowinglongths— ‘ A few forty feet long, twenty-four in cites squ .re at tiio butt, and eight inches square at the top ; to be • charred lor a length of twelve feet. A few t flirty -live feet long, eighteen 1 inches square at the butt, and eight inches square at the top. These i poles to be charred for a length ol nine feet from the butt. The major poition to bo twenty-lire feet long, eight Indies square at the butt, and sir inches square at the top. These poles to be charred for a length of six feet from the butt.
