New Vessel foe the Waiboa Trade. —ln our shipping columns, this morning, will be observed the arrival of the cutter Grayling, from Auckland. This vessel is the property of Mr Jeffcote of Auckland, who was a passenger by her. That gentlehas intimated to us his intention of placing the Grayling on the trade between this port and the Wairoa. The Grayling is a fine roomy cutter, of about 15 tons register, and capable of carrying from 25 to 30 tons dead weight, and draws, when loaded, about 3 feet 6 inches of water. Her passenger accommodation, too is of a class rarely to be found in vessels of the Grayling’s tonnage. To the foregoing, may be added the fact that the Grayling is an excellent sea boat, being remarkably stiff in adverse weather. We trust her enterprising owner may meet with suffi-
cient encouragement to continue in tha* trade; though, we must confess, the vessels already engaged in the trade do not appear to hors too much to rfo.
