Sir, —Can you kindly inform me \ whether thf Hatches Bay Militia are to receive any pay for j their past services—ranging from the month of I July, IStSo, up to the present time, —-for which they \hare not ret rived any remuneration d If they are \to get any pay I think it is high time ice should rc\ccive it. T thin I' it is the commanding officer's duty Ito do something in this line if only far the sale of cv aj a ray in a those under his command. The present si ate vf affairs is what may be called working for .nothing amt finding yourself.
