Latkk English News.—Two days later news than that telegraphed to New Zealand papers has been published in the Sydney Morning Herald, but it is of little interest. The following are the most important items: —London, Feb. 14 Napoleon’s speech on opening the French Chambers, suggested that the European States should form e confederation, and was conscious that the influence of France would preserve peace also. Should the great Powers act in concert, troubles would cease in Turkey. France would not permit a demagogue conspiracy against the power of the Pope. And as relaiions with England are daily becoming more intimate, he was fully convinced of the maintenance of peace in Europe. The Italian Chambers are dissolved.
