It cures diseases of the chest scrofula, lymphatic disorders, green sickness, muscular atony, and loss of appetite, it regenerates the constitution by purifying the blood, and is, in a word, the most powerful depurative known. It never fatigues the stomach and bowels like the lodide ol Iron and the lodide of Potassium, and is administered with the greatest etiicacy to young children subject to humors, or obstruction of the glands. Under its influence, the cough abates, nocturnal perspirations cease, and the patient rapidlv recovers health and flesh. INDIGESTION OR DYSPEPSIA, — LUIixIr of Pepsine, prepared by Geimackt & Co., Clieinists. Pepsine is the gastric juice itself, or rather the digestive principle puri tied, which digests food in the stomach. When from various causes the supply oi the digestive fluid is too small, the inevitable consequences are bad digestion, gastritis, gastralgia, inflammation of fht mucous coats of the stomach and bowels, heartburn, anoemia, loss of strength, and in females general derangement. The Elixir of Pepsine, which is sanctioned by the approbation of the Paris Academy ot Medicine, speedily cures all such di senses, and prevents vomiting during pregnancy.
