GOLD STRUCK AT THE KARAMEA. GOLD REEFS DISCOVERED AT THE WADIANGAROA. (Xelson Examiner.) Teh steamer Nelson brought yesterday ; the pleasing intelligence that gold had | been struck about twenty-five miles up the IKaramea, and that the yield was turning I out well. The discovery was made by a | party of Maoris, who quickly obtained 1 thirty-three ounces; in addition to this i another lot of twenty-six ounces had been (brought to West-port and sold to the (Union Bank of Australia. The person had ;purchased this of the diggers might Lave (got four times the quantity had he possesfo 1 funds for the purpose.
