Donald McLean, Schooner. The schooner Donald McLean arrived irom Poverty Bay on the 6tb. She reports the Agnes as lying at that port When she left. Star or the South, s.s.—The s.s. Star of the South, Captain Bendall, left Napier ou Tuesday the sth, with a strong breeze from the N.E., and a henry sea. On Wednesday, at 5 a.m., eased the engine and proceeded to Black Reef, Mahia, where she anchored at 7 a.tn., but the wind and tea was too high for her to land. At 10 a.msailed for Tologa Bay, where she arrived at 10 a.m. the next day (Thursday.) Landed all the Sheep (1,313 in number) at Cook’s Cove, and at S p.ra, sailed for Napier. She encountered moderate breezes from the N. 31, with a heavy N.K----foil; and. at 11 a.,in. arrived in Napier roadstead. Success, Scuocnee. The schooner Success, Captain Prost. left Wellington on Sunday, the 3rd, and arrived at Napier on Saturday, the Oth, meeting with light northerly winds during the whole passage. She reports having soon a topsail schooner off Cape Palliser, going Suuthward, cud also the s.s. Taranaki. On she saw the brig Maggie off Bare Island.
