Government Advertisements. LECTION NOTICE, In pursuance of the provisions of an Act of the General Assembly of New Zealand, intituled “The Regulation of Elections’ Act,' 1853,” I, Wm. Henry Hunter, Returning Officer for the Electoral District of Porangahau, give notice that, by virtue of a writ bear-lug date the 7th February, 1837, issued under the hand of his Excellency the Governor of New Zealand, au election will be held for the return of one qualified person to serve as a member of the Provincial Council for the said Electoral District; and that the nomination of candidates will take place at Messrs Hunter’s Woolshed, Porangahau, at noon on Wednesday, the 20th March., and (hat the poll (if necessary) will be taken cn Thursday, the Met day of March, and that I will declare ti.e result of the poll at live o’clock in the afternoon cf the same dsv.
