Q.ENTLEMEN,— I have been waiting for tome time ift hopes to see some of you offering yourselves as candidates to represent us in the approaching session of the Provincial Council ; but as up to this tune none of your names have appeared , and as the time in which action should be taken in this matter is so shorty I beg to offer myself as a candidate to represent you in the forthcoming Council . lam in mg seventh year among you , and ant well known to you all: I have made myself acquainted with our common wants , and if you think proper to elect me to represent you I will do my utmost to serve you t and I fatter myself that I can advocate our common cause at least as well as any of my fellow-electors. I consider our district a much neglected one t and will endeavor to get this defect remedied r , and also to give a saitsjauory vine On any Outer Subject which may come before the Council. I approve of Mr McLean at a Superintendent generally , but would not pledge myself to support any measures the Cot'cmment might bring forward unless I sate them to be for the benefit of all.
