Plan of the Town of Napier. Hawke’s Bay.—We have great pleasure iu directing the attention our 01 readers and friends to an exceedingly neat and well-executed map the Town of Napier, just published by our enterprising fellow-townsmen, Mr James Wood, propiietor of the 4 Hawke’s Bay Herald.’ The map is drawn by Mr A. Koch, and is indisputably worthy of the well-known skill and talent of that gentleman. The lithographic portion of the work has, we perceive, been performed by Lloyd and Wylie, lithographers, Wellington. The map, as a whole, is decidedly one of the best specimens of lithogrpahy we have seen produced in the Colony; and we are proud to be able to say that such a work has been published in Napier. The want of such a map has been very greatly felt hy the merchants and general public of the town ; and we venture to predict an extensive sale and all the encouragement merited by the spirited publisher.
i.ii-ih weather during llio past week has been extremely dull and unpleasant. Large quantities of rain has fallen, which will, no doubt, do a great deal of good in f,he country.
